Eiyuu Senki Gold Cards of the Day 30/5/2014

The entire Eiyuu Senki Gold Booster Box Card List is fully translated! I will post up a Directory Post soon. But first, today is a special day, as it's the Release Day of Eiyuu Senki Gold ChaoS Booster Box!

Today's Cards of the Day are Promotional Rare cards, 1 of which is part of a 5th Anniversary Golden Campaign! (The Gawain & Galahad Extra)

There are 4 cards in total, are can only be found in the First Print Editions of Eiyuu Senki Gold Booster Boxes!

Let's get this party started!
-----
100% Cotton, Dry-clean only

Trait and Name (Japanese): 闇の浄化「マーリン」
Trait and Name (English): The Purification of Darkness [Merlin]
Element: Light
Gender: Female
Stats and Growth: 1 / 1 ( +2 / +3 )
Card Number: ES-PR007
Flavor Text (Japanese): べイリン大丈夫やろか…
Flavor Text (English): Are you alright, Balin...

[Main Phase Effect][Once per Turn]
Cost:
Send 1 card from your Hand to your Waiting Room
Effect:
Draw 2 cards.

[Battle Phase Effect][Once per Turn]
Cost:
Send 1 card from your Hand to your Waiting Room, and move this Character from <Stand> position to <Reverse> position
Effect:
Nullify all effects that increases Attack and/or Defence on 1 Character until the end of the Turn. This effect can be activated when in Battle.
-----

Stay puffy! Anyways, this is a card that you can choose to use as a early-game drawing engine.

Merlin's Battle Phase Effect can be used when you select Merlin as a Guarding Character. By paying the cost, and removing any Stat-boosting effects on 1 Character (It doesn't have to be the attacking Character in the Battle) when guarding, you can pull of Merlin's effect and use Merlin as a Guarding Character at the same time.

Remember to do this if you're planning to use Merlin's Battle Phase Effect, as well as use her Character (Yes, that's a her) as a Guarding Character, because when Merlin is in Faced-down position, she won't be able to use her effect anymore until she is healed.

-----
Next, we have a Gawain & Galahad Extra!
-----
Are you certain you can do this in your Loli-form? Seems impractical

Trait and Name (Japanese): “円卓の騎士”アーサーの側近「ガウェイン」&「ガラハド」
Trait and Name (English): "Knights of the Round Table" Arthur's Close Aides [Gawain] & [Galahad]
Element: Water/Light
Gender: Female
Stats and Growth: 4 / 2 ( +1 / +1 )
Card Number: ES-PR011
Flavor Text (Japanese): 王の御心のままに
Flavor Text (English): In our King's best interest

[Extra]
Gawain & Galahad

[Automatic Effect]
When this Character enters the Area or levels up, deal 5 Damage to 1 Character.

[Battle Phase Effect][Once per Turn]
Cost:
Send 1 "Knights of the Round Table" from your Hand to your Waiting Room
Effect:
Deal Damage to 1 Character equivalent to the number of "Knights of the Round Table" on your Area.
-----

A simple Extra card you can choose to use if you decide to deal Non-battle Damage on the sidelines! This is especially painful if you're playing a full "Knights of the Round Table" deck, dealing a maximum of 5 Damage each Battle Phase (Usable on both Players' Turns!)
-----
That's all! And I may continue translating the remaining PR cards for Eiyuu Senki Gold, so look out for them!

Eiyuu Senki Gold Cards of the Day 29/5/2014

Awesome! We're so close to the release date of Eiyuu Senki Gold Booster Box!
I'm currently translating the Card List provided on the ChaoS website too, so I'll try to wrap up today's Cards of the Day as fast as possible!
-----
Blinding Flash of Light, courtesy of Bushiroad

Trait and Name (Japanese): アウトロースター「ビリー・ザ・キッド」
Trait and Name (English): Outlaw Star [Billy the Kid]
Element: Fire
Gender: Female
Stats and Growth: 4 / 4 ( +2 / +2 )
Card Number: ES-178RR
Flavor Text (Japanese): アタイ、好きって気持ちがとまんなくて
Flavor Text (English): I can't stop this loving feeling

[Entry Cost]
Flip 1 of your <OS: Eiyuu Senki> Characters from Faced-up position to Faced-down position

[Automatic Effect][Partner Effect][Once per Turn]
When any of your Set cards are moved from your Area to other locations, this Character gains +2 Attack and +2 Defence until the end of the Turn.

[Battle Phase Effect]
Cost:
Return 1 Set card that was set onto your Friends, to your Hand
Effect:
Deal 1 Damage to 1 Character. If this Character is your Partner, deal 2 Damage instead. This effect can be activated during Battle.
-----

Billy's Partner Effect involves moving Sets from your Area to other locations. Other locations include your Hand, your Waiting Room, your Backyard and your Deck(?). This effect activates even when it was your Opponent who moves the Set card! Since this effect is not limited to your turn, Billy is able to gain the +2 / +2 boost when your Opponent tries to destroy a Set card on your Area!

Billy's Partner Effect actually combos pretty well with her second effect. By returning a Set card from 1 of your Friends to your Hand, you activate the Partner Effect, giving Billy more firepower.

It'd be a great idea to use Set cards which do not incur a Setting Cost (Although you can only set the card back next Turn, since the effect activates during Battle Phase). Such cards you could use would be like Nobunaga's rifle from Eiyuu Senki Extra Booster:
You win the Strangest-looking Weapon Award

The rifle gives your Character +3 Attack when they are selected as an Attacking Character.

You could also use Set cards which contain beneficial effects when setting, such as Cowry from Eiyuu Senki Extra Booster:
Wait, maybe you're the winner of the Strangest-looking Weapon Award

The Setting Cost is to send 1 <OS: Eiyuu Senki> card from your Hand to your Backyard.

By setting this Set card onto your Friend, you're able to deal 2 Damage to 1 Character (Activates even when the Character this Set card is set onto is in Faced-down position).

Of course, by setting this Set card to your Partner, you're able to heal 1 <OS: Eiyuu Senki> Character, but remember that Billy the Kid's effect targets only your Friends, and not your Partner!
-----
Next up, we got Billy the Kid's Set card, Billy's Two Handguns!
-----
Don't kid around with a kid with a revolver and a machine-gun pistol (See what I did there?)

Set Name (Japanese): ビリーの二丁拳銃
Set Name (English): Billy's Two Handguns
Stats Boost: +3 / -
Card Number: ES-244C
Flavor Text (Japanese): ヒャッハー! 撃ち放題だぜ!!
Flavor Text (English): Hyaha-! Open fire!!

[Setting Cost]
Send 1 <OS: Eiyuu Senki> card from your Hand to your Waiting Room

[Continuous Effect]
When this Set card is set onto your [Billy the Kid], all Non-battle Damage dealt from effects of your [Billy the Kid] is treated as Battle Damage.

[Automatic Effect]
When the Character set with this card is selected as an Attacking Character, deal 2 Damage to 1 Character.
-----

Needless to say, this goes well with the new Billy the Kid Partner. Although they are previous versions of Billy the Kid (Like the one from Eiyuu Senki 1.00 Booster Box), they do not deal Non-battle Damage, so the Continuous Effect is wasted.

Do note that the Damage dealt by this Set card's Automatic Effect is still considered Non-battle Damage even if it's set onto Billy the Kid!
-----
I'll put up the full Card List as soon as I can, so look forward to it!

Eiyuu Senki Gold Cards of the Day 28/5/2014

3 more days to go! Today's Cards of the Day feature Loki!
-----
Fear me, for I'm the most evil Common card you've ever seen!

Trait and Name (Japanese): 世界のバランス「ロキ」
Trait and Name (English): The Balance of the World [Loki]
Element: Light/Dark
Gender: Female
Stats and Growth: 8 / 2 ( +1 / - )
Card Number: ES-199C
Flavor Text (Japanese): 私は本来、光と闇の量をコントロールするための存在
Flavor Text (English): I originally exist, to keep the amount of Light and Darkness in control

[Entry Cost]
Send 2 Characters from your Hand to your Waiting Room

[Trespass Cost]
Send 1 Character from your Hand to your Waiting Room, and return 1 <Granting her Master's Wish [Hugues de Payens]>  to your Hand

[Additional Name]
Hugues de Payens

[Automatic Effect]
When this Character enters the Area, levels up, or auto level up, you may flip 1 <OS: Eiyuu Senki> Character to Faced-up position. In addition, if you used this Character's Trespass Cost to enter this Character onto your Area, this Character gains +4 Attack and is unaffected by your Opponent's Event card effects until the end of the Turn.

[Penetrate]
-----

For a C card, Loki has quite a painful attack, especially when you used her Trespass Cost. Loki also heals a <OS: Eiyuu Senki> Character upon entry, making her a pretty good card overall, albeit her somewhat costly Entry Cost.

Of course, you'd want to want to use her Trespass Cost more often than her Entry Cost, so who is this Hugues de Payens, that this card is talking about? Let us take a look at the next card!
-----
Next up, Hugues de Payens!
-----
For Pando-, I mean, God!

Trait and Name (Japanese): 主の望みを叶えるため「ユーグ・ド・パイヤン」
Trait and Name (English): Granting her Master's Wish [Hugues de Payens]
Element: Light/Dark
Gender: Female
Stats and Growth: 2 / 1 ( +2 / +3 )
Card Number: ES-198U
Flavor Text (Japanese): ですから最後に、この姿で皆さんのお相手をしてあげましょう
Flavor Text (English): So in the end, I became everyone's enemy in this form

[Automatic Effect]
When this Character is returned to your Hand through paying <The Balance of the World [Loki]>'s Trespass Cost, send 1 of your Opponent's Set card to their Backyard. This effect activates in your Hand.

[Main Phase][Once per Turn]
Cost:
Send 1 card from your Hand to your Waiting Room
Effect:
Draw 2 cards
-----

This card is good in the early game, as a drawing engine which is not affected by your Opponent's effects that nullify passive drawing. (Passive drawing effects are Automatic Effect which causes you to draw, usually without paying a Cost)

When your Opponent has a threatening Set card, you can send Hugues de Payens back to your Hand and send out Loki. Since this is part of a Trespass Cost, you can still do this even when you've already entered another Character onto your Area.

Do note that Loki has an additional name of Hugues de Payens, so you're unable to play both Hugues de Payens and Loki on your Area at the same time!

This Loki-and-Hugues combination is usable in any Deck which requires a Friend with Penetrate, and also lacks Characters or a Partner with drawing capabilities.

Eiyuu Senki Gold Cards of the Day 27/5/2014

Roughly 4 more days to go! Today's Cards of the Day feature 3 of Arthur's Knights!
-----

An animated-art version and only a 'U'-rarity? Blasphemy!

Trait and Name (Japanese): ”円卓騎士”夜の帳「ガーウェイン」
Trait and Name (English): "Knights of the Round Table" Veil of the Night [Gawain]
Element: Light
Gender: Female
Stats and Growth: 2 / 2 ( +3 / +3 )
Card Number: ES-159U
Flavor Text (Japanese): 夜の時間を楽しみましょう
Flavor Text (English): Let's enjoy the night time

[Entry Cost]
All of your Characters must be from <OS: Eiyuu Senki>

[Automatic Effect][Partner Effect][Once per Turn]
While this Character is set with a Set card which has a [Setting Cost], and is selected as either an Attacking Character or Guarding Character, draw 1 card. After that, this Character gains +2 Attack and +2 Defence until the end of the Turn.

[Automatic Effect]
When this Character dealt Battle Damage to your Opponent's Character, you may move that Character to <Rest> position. This effect still activates when this Character is in Faced-down position.
-----

A Partner card with strange stats and growth!

If you decide to use her as your Partner, her stats will scale better later into the game. She'd have a maximum stat of 14 / 14 as compared to the normal 12 / 12 from a 4 / 4 ( +2 / +2 ) Partner.

However, she will suffer earlier in the game as she'd start off as a 5 / 5 Partner. If you do not have a Set card (With Setting Cost) set onto her to provide her the +2 / +2 boost as soon as possible, she is very vulnerable to other Partners with Stat-boosting capabilities.

Her second effect would make your Opponents think twice before selecting a Guarding Character, as you're able to move that Guarding Character to <Rest> position, preventing your Opponent from guarding again with that same Character (Unless that Character can guard in <Rest> position).

If you have another Partner in mind, you can still use her as a Friend. She has an easy-to-satisfy Entry Cost (Unless you play a Deck which mixes difference Series together). She can easily take down 1 possible Guarding Character before your bigger guns attack.

-----
Let's move on to the next Card! Galahad
-----
How can someone be so cool, and yet so hot?

Trait and Name (Japanese): ”円卓騎士”キスの特訓「ガラハド」
Trait and Name (English): "Knights of the Round Table" Special Training in Kissing [Galahad]
Element: Water
Gender: Female
Stats and Growth: 5 / 2 ( - / +1 )
Card Number: ES-158U
Flavor Text (Japanese): 馬鹿ではない。私は常に本気だ
Flavor Text (English): I'm not stupid. I'm always serious

[Entry Cost]
Send 1 <OS: Eiyuu Senki> Character from your Hand to your Waiting Room

[Trespass Cost]
Send 1 card from your Hand to your Waiting Room, and return 1 "Knights of the Round Table" Friend to your Hand

[Automatic Effect]
When this Character is selected as an Attacking Character, this Character gains +3 Attack until the end of the Turn.

[Penetrate]
-----

A very good card for an 'Uncommon' rarity! Galahad's Trespass Cost makes her a great card to combo with other "Knights of the Round Table" Characters, and helps you avoid discarding Character cards as an Entry Cost, if you're lacking any in your Hand.

For example, if we're in need of some healing (Say, an Opponent really tore through your Area), we can use Ywain from Eiyuu Senki 1.00 Booster Box:
Kickass!

Ywain has no Entry Cost, and provides a passive -3 to all Non-battle Damage received by any of your Characters.

She also has a Main Phase Effect which requires her to move herself from <Stand> position to <Reverse> position to heal 1 of your Characters.

If you use Ywain normally, it'd take her 2 turns to return back to <Stand> position (Unless you used card which causes her to moved to <Stand> position).

If the passive -3 Non-battle Damage effect is not needed just yet, you can choose to return her back to your Hand and replace her with Galahad!

That way, you can return Ywain back to your Area in your next Turn and heal again!

Galahad also has Penetrate too, and this is indeed a good addition to any Deck which plays on the trait: "Knights of the Round Table".

Last note: The Trespass Cost targets "Knights of the Round Table" Friends, so you may also target your "Knights of the Round Table" Friends who are in Faced-down position!

-----
Lastly, we have Balin!
-----
*Glare*

Trait and Name (Japanese): ”円卓騎士”面倒見の良い戦闘隊長「ベイリン」
Trait and Name (English): "Knights of the Round Table" Caring Battle Captain [Balin]
Element: Fire
Gender: Female
Stats and Growth: 9 / 2 ( +1 / - )
Card Number: ES-163C
Flavor Text (Japanese): 頼むから、アタシを楽しませてくれよ?
Flavor Text (English): For heaven's sake, can't I have some fun?

[Entry Cost]
Flip 1 of your Characters from Faced-up <Stand> position to Faced-down <Reverse> position

[Trespass Cost]
Send 1 of your Faced-up Friends to your Waiting Room, and flip your [Arthur] or "Knights of the Round Table" Partner from Faced-down position to Faced-up position

[Continuous Effect]
While this Character is set with a Set card, this Character can be selected as a Guarding Character even when in <Rest> position.

[Penetrate]
-----

Balin's Entry Cost is the same as her older counterpart from Eiyuu Senki 1.00 Booster Box:
*Grin*

Her older counterpart however, lacks a Trespass Cost, and instead, she comes with 2 Continuous Effects:
This Character can be set with 1 additional Set card (A maximum of 2 Set cards). This effect still works when this Character is in Faced-down position.

This Character passively reduces all Non-battle Damage received by any of your Characters by 4 if you have 2 or more other "Knights of the Round Table" Characters on your Area.

Sadly, this Character doesn't come with any passive skills, making her Set-reliant if you want her to gain skills. This makes her a target for Set-destroying effects.

Her -4 to Non-battle Damages is a bane to Decks which rely on Non-battle Damage to destroy your field.

Now, back to today's Balin: She is beneficial if you play a Deck which revolves around an [Arthur] Partner or a "Knights of the Round Table" Partner, so you can make use of her Trespass Cost to heal them.

Note that you need to send 1 Faced-up position Friend to your Waiting Room, which means even <Rest> or <Reverse> position Friends are acceptable (So long as they are Faced-up).

Having 9 Attack and Penetrate makes her a good Friend to use for Attacking, and having a Set card set onto her makes her a possible Guarding Character after her attack.

This would mean you need to try to keep her alive, and one of the best Sets available so far, would be the previously-mentioned Billy Special from Eiyuu Senki 1.00 Booster Box:
Pew pew pew pew

Giving her Swift Strike so ensure a higher survival rate!
-----
That's all for today! Remember, 4 more days!

Eiyuu Senki Gold Cards of the Day 26/5/2014

Less than a week to go to the release of Eiyuu Senki Gold Booster Box!
Today, we get to see Team China!
-----
China's medical expenses shot through the roof... Again!

Trait and Name (Japanese): 病弱な皇帝「始皇帝」
Trait and Name (English): The Sickly Emporer [Qin Shi Huang]
Element: Water
Gender: Female
Stats and Growth: 0 / 3 ( +2 / +3 )
Card Number: ES-166C
Flavor Text (Japanese): けほっごほっごほっ……ごぶぁっ
Flavor Text (English): Cough cough cough ... Blaughhhh

[Main Effect][Friend Effect]
Cost:
Return this Character to your Hand
Effect:
Select 1 [Lu Bu] or [Sun Tzu] from your Hand, and you may enter that Character from your Hand onto your Area without paying their [Entry Cost].

[Main Effect][Battle Phase Effect][Once per Turn]
Cost:
You must have either [Lu Bu] or [Sun Tzu] on your Area. Send 1 [Lu Bu] or [Sun Tzu] from your Waiting Room to your Backyard.
Effect:
If you activate this effect during your Main Phase, deal 2 Damage to your Opponent. If you activate this effect during Battle Phase, select 1 of your [Lu Bu] or [Sun Tzu], and that Character gains +3 Attack and +3 Defence until the end of the Turn.
-----

Important Note!
You can put Qin Shi Huang onto your Area, then use her Friend Effect on the same Turn, to put Lu Bu or Sun Tzu immediately from your Hand onto your Area without paying their Entry Cost.

Anyways, Let's look at the old Qin Shi Huang from Eiyuu Senki 1.00 Booster Box for comparison sake:
Blaaaaauuuhhhgghhhhhh

What made the old Qin Shi Huang a difficult card to use is her Entry Cost: Flip 1 of your Characters from Faced-up <Stand> position to Faced-down <Reverse> position.

This means that she would be one of the last Characters you place onto your Area, unless you use a Character which is about to turn into an Extra, or level up.

Her older counterpart's first Automatic Effect allows you to deal 1 Damage to all of your Opponent's Characters when she enters the Area or level up. If Lu Bu or Sun Tzu is on your Area, deal 3 Damage instead.

Her second Automatic Effect gives herself, or Lu Bu, the ability to deal 2 Damage to 1 Character whenever either of them attacks.

As you can see, this older version of Qin Shi Huang focuses on Non-battle Damages, and you'd need either Sun Tzu or Lu Bu to make the best use of her.

If her old Entry Cost turns you off, the new Qin Shi Huang would be more enticing for you.

But does her new counterpart help the old Lu Bu and Sun Tzu from Eiyuu Senki 1.00 Booster Box?
Shit just got serious

Lu Bu's Entry Cost is to send 1 <OS: Eiyuu Senki> Character from your Hand to your Waiting Room. It is not that costly an Entry Cost though.

Lu Bu has 2 Continuous Effects:
As long as you have Qin Shi Huang or Sun Tzu on your Area, she gains +4 Attack.

You're still able to select her as a Guarding Character even when she is in <Rest> position.

As you can see, the new Qin Shi Huang is able to give Lu Bu an additional +3 / +3 when she attacks, making her one heck of a painful Friend!

Let's take a look at Sun Tzu:
Hawawawawawawa @ @

Sun Tzu's Entry Cost is to flip 1 of your Characters from Faced-up position to Faced-down position. You can consider this pretty costly if you do not have cards which can help you heal the Character you used as the Entry Cost. This is where Qin Shi Huang's Friend Effect could be useful.

Sun Tzu's Automatic Effect allows you to draw 1 card at the start of your Main Phase, and an additional 1 card if Lu Bu or Qin Shi Huang is on your Area.

Her Main Phase Effect (Once per Turn) allows you to heal 1 of your Lu Bu or Qin Shi Huang, and send 1 Set card from 1 Character to their respective Player's Waiting Room.

Sun Tzu makes an excellent early-game Character if you're able to place Qin Shi Huang or Lu Bu along-side with her, making her a good drawing engine!

Last notes:
If you used Qin Shi Huang's ability during your Main Phase (To deal 2 Damage to your Opponent), you can't use it on the same Turn's Battle Phase to give +3 / +3 to your Lu Bu or Sun Tzu.

Qin Shi Huang's effect can be used during your Opponent's Battle Phase as well, and it's great if you need that extra +3 Defence boost!
-----
Now let's take a look at the Lu Bu & Sun Tzu pair!
-----
With our powers combined.. we are ...

Trait and Name (Japanese): 霊薬を探して「呂布」&「孫子」
Trait and Name (English): In search for the Miracle Drug [Lu Bu] & [Sun Tzu]
Element: Earth/Fire
Gender: Female
Stats and Growth: 10 / 3 ( - / - )
Card Number: ES-167C
Flavor Text (Japanese): 「しーちゃんの病気を治すためなら」「どこまでも探し続けるよ!」
Flavor Text (English): [This is for Shi-chan's recovery sake] [Then let us continue searching!]

[Entry Cost]
Send 3 Characters from your Hand to your Waiting Room

[Continuous Effect]
While you have [Qin Shi Huang] on your Area, this Character can be selected as a Guarding Character even when in <Rest> position.

[Automatic Effect]
When this Character is selected as an Attacking Character, this Character gains +3 Attack until the end of the Battle.

[Penetrate]
-----

Now we know how beneficial is Qin Shi Huang's Friend Effect!

3 Characters as an Entry Cost is really heavy! Obviously, you'd rather use Qin Shi Huang's Friend Effect to place Lu Bu & Sun Tzu onto your Area!

When you're able to place Qin Shi Huang on your Area, along with Lu Bu & Sun Tzu, you have 1 heck of a beat-stick.

Lu Bu & Sun Tzu's +3 Attack upon attacking, along with Qin Shi Huang's +3 / +3 boost, means you have a 16 / 6 Character with Penetrate!

If you use a Set which gives you Swift Strike, like Billy's Special from Eiyuu Senki 1.00 Booster Box:
This. Is. My. BOOMSTICK!

You have a higher chance of survival, and still use Lu Bu & Sun Tzu as a Guarding Character during your Opponent's Turn!

Remember that since this Character has both Lu Bu and Sun Tzu in its name, you cannot play either of the old Lu Bu or Sun Tzu on the Area alongside with this new Character. However, you need to send Lu Bu or Sun Tzu from your Waiting Room to your Backyard to activate Qin Shi Huang's effect, so you may still want to play some of the old Lu Bu and/or Sun Tzu to make the most of Qin Shi Huang's effect!
-----
That's a wrap! See you all tomorrow!

Eiyuu Senki Gold Cards of the Day 23/5/2014

We're exactly 1 Week away from Eiyuu Senki Gold's release! Today's Cards of the Day feature all 3 members of Australia's crew!
-----
SUCK MY BLOOD! TAKE IT ALLLLLLLLLLLL!!!

Trait and Name (Japanese): ドラキュリア「ヴラド・ツェペシュ」
Trait and Name (English): Dracula [Vlad Tepes]
Element: Dark
Gender: Female
Stats and Growth: 4 / 4 ( +2 / +2 )
Card Number: ES-169R
Flavor Text (Japanese): 汝に最高の興奮と、最高の思い出を与えてやろう…
Flavor Text (English): I will make you feel the most pleasurable, and give you the best memories...

[Entry Cost]
Flip 1 of your <OS: Eiyuu Senki> Characters from Faced-down position to Faced-up position.

[Automatic Effect]
At the start of your Battle Phase, if there is 5 or more cards in your Opponent's Backyard, draw 1 card.

[Main Phase Effect][Partner Effect][Once per Turn]
Cost:
Send 1 card from your Hand to your Waiting Room
Effect:
Send 1 card from your Opponent's Waiting Room to their Backyard. If you have done so, this Character gains +3 Attack and [Penetrate] until the end of the Turn. After that, if your Opponent has 7 or more cards in their Backyard, you may move 1 of your Opponent's Friends to <Rest> position.
-----

Awesome card! An improvement over the original Vlad from Eiyuu Senki 1.00 Booster Box:
Hugs and Kisses - xoxo - *Gets pierced*

Her older counterpart has a costly Entry Cost: Sending 1 of your Faced-up position <OS: Eiyuu Senki> Friends to your Waiting Room.

Her Automatic Effect allows her to gain +5 / +5 at the start of either Player's Battle Phase, should your Opponent has 5 or more cards in their Backyard.

She also comes with a passive Penetrate.

However, playing the older counterpart can be slow as Vlad relies on other Characters (Or your Opponent) to send cards to your Opponent's Backyard. If your Opponent doesn't normally put cards into their Waiting Room (For you to send to their Backyard), this makes it even slower for Vlad to get her much needed +5 / +5 boost to make her a threat to your Opponent.

Her newer counterpart has the ability to send cards from your Opponent's Waiting Room to their Backyard, making her more independent.

Even though the boost is smaller ( +3 / 0 as compared to +5 / +5 ), it is easier and faster to activate. Note that you must send 1 card to your Opponent's Backyard to activate the +3 / 0 boost and Penetrate skill.

After reaching 5 cards in your Opponent's Backyard, she is self-sufficient, as you're able to recover the -1 Hand size from paying her Partner Effect's Cost.

After reaching 7 cards in your Opponent's Backyard, she becomes even more dangerous as she is able to disable one of your Opponent's Friends from defending. (If they do not have the ability to defend while being in Rest position)
-----
1 down, 2 more to go! Now let's look at Joan of Arc
-----
What is this "4G" you speak of? Does it make communication with God more reliable?

Trait and Name (Japanese): 聖少女「ジャンヌ・ダルク」
Trait and Name (English): Holy Maiden [Joan of Arc]
Element: Light
Gender: Female
Stats and Growth: 9 / 3 ( - / +1 )
Card Number: ES-170C
Flavor Text (Japanese): カミサマは言いました…吸血鬼、滅せよ、と
Flavor Text (English): I have spoken with God... I must destroy that Vampire

[Entry Cost]
Flip 1 of your Characters from Faced-up <Stand> position to Faced-down <Reverse> position.

[Trespass Cost]
Send 1 of your Faced-up position Friends to your Waiting Room, and flip your [Vlad Tepes] from Faced-down position to Faced-up position.

[Automatic Effect]
At the start of Battle Phase, if your Opponent's Backyard has 3 or more cards, ignore all of the original Cost and Condition(s) for 1 of your [Vlad Tepes] Partner's [Automatic Effect] when it is being activated.

[Swift Strike]
-----

This is a great card for both the old and new Vlad Tepes!

Recall that the older version of Vlad Tepes is a risky card to play as trying to reach 5 cards in your Opponent's Backyard can be slow. With Joan of Arc, you'd need only 3 cards in your Opponent's Backyard now (For this effect to work).

Since Joan of Arc's effect works on both Players' Battle Phase, rest assured that the +5 / +5 boost will work on your Opponent's Turn as well!

As for the new Vlad Tepes, Joan of Arc's Automatic Effect allows Vlad to start drawing cards when your Opponent's Backyard has 3 cards, instead of 5.

Of course, the only problem is her Entry Cost. If you have a Character who is about to be used for an Extra, make use of that opportunity to send Joan of Arc onto your Area, before turning that Character into an Extra.

In dire situations, you can also Trespass to ensure that Vlad Tepes is healed! Remember that you cannot use Joan of Arc's Trespass Cost if you do not have Vlad Tepes on your Area, or if your Vlad Tepes is already in Faced-up position.

Anyone who wants to use either the new or old versions of Vlad Tepes as their Partner should really consider using Joan of Arc.
-----
Lastly, we have Goemon!
-----
Suck it, Robin Hood

Trait and Name (Japanese): 正義の泥棒「石川五右衛門」
Trait and Name (English): Thief of Justice [Ishikawa Goemon]
Element: Air
Gender: Female
Stats and Growth: 4 / 4 ( +1 / +2 )
Card Number: ES-171U
Flavor Text (Japanese): ジパングも恋しくなってきたところだし、喜んで乗らせてもらうよ
Flavor Text (English): I miss Zipangu so much, I'm glad to follow you

[Entry Cost]
Flip 1 of your <OS: Eiyuu Senki> Characters from Faced-down position to Faced-up position

[Continuous Effect]
When your [Vlad Tepes] is in Battle, nullify all of the skills of your Opponent's Battling Character

[Automatic Effect][Once per Turn]
When your <OS: Eiyuu Senki> Partner is selected as an Attacking Character, you may send 1 card from your Opponent's Waiting Room to their Backyard. After that, if your Opponent's Backyard has 10 or more cards, reduce the Defence of all of your Opponent's Characters by 2.
-----

Crazy card to have, for any deck. Of course, a Vlad Tepes Deck would benefit the most from Goemon. Go Team Australia!

Goemon's Continuous Effect makes your Vlad Tepes an excellent Guarding Character against your Opponent's Characters (Especially those with skills like Penetrate).

Goemon's Automatic Effect helps send cards from your Opponent's Waiting Room to their Backyard, which definitely helps both Joan of Arc and Vlad Tepes satisfy their effect conditions faster in the game!

As Goemon stays in your Area, she turns deadly later on in the game when your Opponent's Backyard has 10 or more cards. The ability to reduce ALL of your Opponent's Defence by 2 cannot be countered by commonly-used "Anti-burn" cards (Those cards which reduces Non-battle Damage). This means your Opponent will have to use "Anti-Defence-Reduction" cards.

If your Opponent is unable to disable Goemon's Automatic Effect and they have 10 or more cards in their Backyard, all of their Characters with 2 or less Defence will immediately get flipped Faced-down when your <OS: Eiyuu Senki> Partner is selected as an Attacking Character.

That's all for today! See ya!

Eiyuu Senki Gold Cards of the Day 22/5/2014

Today's Cards of the Day introduce 2 more new Eiyuu Senki Characters to the ChaoS card game, Musashi and Kojirō!

(Note: Anyone who has been reading my previous Blog posts would realized I changed the skill name [Trample] to [Penetrate]. Just a personal preference, and I apologize for any confusion)

-----
Billy the Kid V0.2

Trait and Name (Japanese): ジパングーに拘る「宮本武蔵」
Trait and Name (English): Getting involved with Zipangu [Miyamoto Musashi]
Element: Fire/Light
Gender: Female
Stats and Growth: 8 / 1 ( - / +1 )
Card Number: ES-147C
Flavor Text (Japanese): ジパングーの剣豪、小次郎殿敗れたり―――――!
Flavor Text (English): I lost to Zipangu's Master Swordsman, Kojirō-dono-----!

[Entry Cost]
Send 1 <OS: Eiyuu Senki> Character from your Hand to your Waiting Room

[Automatic Effect]
When this Character is selected as an Attacking Character, and dealt Battle Damage to your Opponent's Character, send 1 Set card which was set onto that Character to their Waiting Room.

[Opponent Selection]
-----

Very interesting Character! Opponent Selection is one of those lesser-known skills.

The concept of Opponent Select is pretty straight forward. When a Character with this skill is selected as an Attacking Character, you get to choose an Opponent's Character instead of your Opponent as your target.

If you do target an Opponent's Character, take note that your Opponent still has the choice to select a Guarding Character to block your attack. If so, both the Opponent's Guarding Character and the Opponent's Character you selected as a target, will get involved in Battle along with your Character.

And another point to note: Should you battle with an Opponent's Guarding Character, any excess Damage will go towards the Opponent's Character you selected IF you have Penetrate. HOWEVER, any excess Damage from the Opponent's Character you selected will NOT go towards your Opponent's Deck as Damage. This is because the original target is no longer your Opponent, but the Opponent's Character you selected.

Recall that Musashi's effect is able to send Set cards which are set onto your Opponent's Battling Characters to their Waiting Room. If your Opponent chooses to send forth a Guarding Character to protect their targeted Character, you'll be able to send 1 Set from each of both Opponent's Characters to their Waiting Room IF you have Penetrate and managed to deal Damage to your target.

If you're unable to deal any excess Damage, then only the Guarding Character you Opponent chose will be affected by Musashi's effect.

Opponent Selection is great, if your Opponent play annoying Characters which give Stat boosts or provide pain-in-the-ass Continuous Effects.
-----
Next, we have Sasaki Kojirō!
-----
:)

Trait and Name (Japanese): 武蔵を探して「佐々木小次郎」
Trait and Name (English): Searching for Musashi [Sasaki Kojirō]
Element: Air/Dark
Gender: Female
Stats and Growth: 2 / 1 ( +2 / +3 )
Card Number: ES-148U
Flavor Text (Japanese): 今後も鍛錬を重ねて、武蔵に再挑戦し、きっと勝利てみせる
Flavor Text (English): From now on, training should be taken seriously, so we will win when Musashi challenges us again to a fight

[Automatic Effect]
When this Character enters your Area, levels up, or auto level up, you may flip 1 <OS: Eiyuu Senki> Character to Faced-up position.

[Automatic Effect]
When your <OS: Eiyuu Senki> Partner is selected as an Attacking Character, draw 1 card.
-----

Having a passive (Compulsory) "draw 1 when your Partner attacks" effect, and a healing effect to boot, makes this a good card to use early in the game, when you are trying to get the right cards in your Hand. Kojirō would most likely be replaced once you're ready to get serious, as the compulsory drawing effect may be dangerous to your Deck in the later part of the game.

I hope that Kojirō and Musashi have an Extra card together in the Eiyuu Senki Gold Booster Box!
-----
See you all again tomorrow!

Eiyuu Senki Gold Cards of the Day 21/5/2014

Yay! Today, we get to see Napoleon! (^^)/ Let's get this ball rolling!
-----
Dere Mode activate!

Trait and Name (Japanese): 欧州連合のリーダ「ナポレオン」
Trait and Name (English): The European Union Leader [Napoleon]
Element: Fire
Gender: Female
Stats and Growth: 4 / 4 ( +2 / +2)
Card Number: ES-190RR
Flavor Text (Japanese): 貴方の気持ちが離れてしまうんじゃないかって、不安でたまらないの
Flavor Text (English): When you keep your feelings isolated away from me, I feel insecure

[Entry Cost]
Flip 1 of your <OS: Eiyuu Senki> Characters from Faced-down position to Faced-up position

[Automatic Effect]
While this Character is set with a Set card which has a [Setting Cost], and is selected as an Attacking Character, deal 2 Damage to all of your Opponent's Characters. If this Character is your Partner, you may choose to deal 5 Damage to 1 Character instead.

[Battle Phase Effect][Partner Effect][Once per Turn]
Cost:
Send 1 card from your Waiting Room to your Backyard
Effect:
This Character gains +2 Attack and +2 Defence until the end of the Turn. If your Backyard has 2 or more Set cards which has <<Cannon>> in its name, this Character gains +3 Attack and +3 Defence instead. This effect can be activated when in Battle.
-----

Sounds fun, and very painful if your Opponent is unable to produce a Character/Set which reduces the Non-battle Damage Napoleon deals.

This new Napoleon Partner is somewhat as offensive as her old counterpart from Eiyuu Senki 1.00 Booster Box:
Imma charging my lazooooor....

The old Napoleon Partner has a compulsory "Draw 1 card at the start of your Main Phase" Partner Effect, and the ability to give all of your <OS: Eiyuu Senki> Characters +2 Attack when this Character is selected as an Attacking Character.

If you prefer to play an offensive deck through attacking, the old Napoleon Partner would be better for you.

However, if you like to see the world burn take down your Opponent's Character(s) through Non-battle Damages, the new Napoleon would suit your style.

You'd need to have a Set card which has a Setting Cost. One possible (And recommended) Set to use would be Napoleon's Cannon. But before we talk about it, let's talk about the next effect first.

For your Partner Effect, You have to send cards from your Waiting Room to your Backyard, to activate the effect. As suggested later on in the effect, you may want to send your Set cards which has <<Cannon>> in its name, as the Cost of the effect.

You just need 2 <<Cannon>> Sets in your Backyard to gain the bonus +1 / +1 boost, so you don't have to keep sending your <<Cannon>> Sets into your Backyard as this effect's Cost. Your Opponent can help you out too, if they use card effects which send your Sets to your Backyard!

I took a look at the next Card of the Day, and it's a Set which contains <<Cannon>> in its name.
There is, however, another Set with the word <<Cannon>> in its name, and that is Napoleon's Cannon from Eiyuu Senki 1.00 Booster Box.
Guns are so cliché

To set this card, you need to send 1 card to your Waiting Room. If set to your Partner, you can retrieve 1 Event card from your Waiting Room to your Hand (Still activates even when the Character which this card is set to is in Faced-down position).

Another good Set to use for Napoleon. It is pretty obvious that if you're going to play a Deck which revolves around Napoleon, you should considering playing this Set (And the new <<Cannon>> Set too).

Let us take a look at the next Card of the Day then!
-----
Next up, the Absolutely Practical Cannon!
-----
Mutual Assured Destruction: Portable

Set Name (Japanese): 絶対可能砲
Set Name (English): Absolutely Practical Cannon
Stats Boost: +1 / +1
Card Number: ES-237R
Flavor Text (Japanese): 私の辞書に「不可能」という文字は無いわ!
Flavor Text (English): [Impractical] does not exist in my dictionary!

[Setting Cost]
Send 1 <OS: Eiyuu Senki> Character from your Hand to your Waiting Room

[Continuous Effect][Partner Effect]
If the Character set with this card is from <OS: Eiyuu Senki>, that Character gains +1 Attack and +1 Defence

[Penetrate]
-----

Absolutely powerful card to the Eiyuu Senki Set arsenal! This is practically a +2 / +2 Penetrate Set card if you set it to your Partner, with somewhat a lower cost.

The original Penetrate-giving Set, was from Eiyuu Senki 1.00 Booster Box, Excalibur:
Arthur's latest Single: Excalibur! Out now in all music stores near you.

Setting Cost for this old Set card was to send 2 <OS: Eiyuu Senki> cards from your Hand to your Waiting Room. Think of it as saving 1 Hand size for setting, if you use the new Penetrate-giving Set.

Of course, you have to note that the requirement of the Absolutely Practical Cannon is 1 <OS: Eiyuu Senki> Character, so setting it can be a tough decision to make if your Hand has little to no Characters to spare.

This new Set card would be really good for almost any <OS: Eiyuu Senki> Deck!

That's all for today! Ta!

Eiyuu Senki Gold Cards of the Day 20/5/2014

Today, we have Siegfried, and her Extra! Well, here we go!
-----
Cool as ice, baby

Trait and Name (Japanese): 森の管理者「ジークフリート」
Trait and Name (English): The Keeper of the Forest [Siegfried]
Element: Earth
Gender: Female
Stats and Growth: 4 / 4 ( +2 / +2 )
Card Number: ES-194RR
Flavor Text (Japanese): …ふふっ。これほど誰かに必要とされたのは初めてです
Flavor Text (English): ...fufu. This is the first time I'm needed that much by anyone

[Entry Cost]
Send 1 card from your Hand to your Waiting Room, and return 1 Friend to your Hand.

[Continuous Effect]
While this Character is set with a Set card which has a [Setting Cost], this Character gains +2 Attack and [Penetrate].

[Continuous Effect]
Any Damage dealt to this Character is reduced by 3.
-----

Trivia: Siegfried is one of the legendary heroes in Norse mythology. His real name is Sigurd, and is known as Siegfried in the German poem Nibelungenlied and Richard's Wagner's operas Siegfried and Götterdämmerung.

Sweet and simple, this Character is a pain to defeat, as any Damage (Non-battle / Battle) is reduced by 3, making her an excellent Guarding Character for most incoming Attacks.

She has an offensive front when set with a Set card which has a Setting Cost, gaining +2 Attack and [Penetrate] in the process.

Such Sets include Napoleon's Cannon from Eiyuu Senki 1.00 Booster Box:
Meet my little friend

To set this card, you need to send 1 card to your Waiting Room. If set to your Partner, you can retrieve 1 Event card from your Waiting Room to your Hand (Still activates even when the Character which this card is set to is in Faced-down position).

Most people would use this to retrieve valuable Event cards, or just give your Partner a +2 / +2 by sending an Event card to your Waiting Room, and retrieving it back.

Regardless, you only lose 1 Hand size from setting this card, and the stat boost on this Set is excellent.
-----
Now, let's look at Siegfried's Extra!
-----
So cool. Ice cool.

Trait and Name (Japanese): バルムンク「ジークフリート」
Trait and Name (English): Balmung [Siegfried]
Element: Earth
Gender: Female
Stats and Growth: 3 / 3 ( +1 / +1 )
Card Number: ES-216C
Flavor Text (Japanese): 森を荒らす悪党に、名乗る義理はありません
Flavor Text (English): Villains who damages the forest has no right to call themselves honorable

[Extra]
Siegfried

[Entry Cost]
Send 1 Character card from your Hand to your Waiting Room.

[Automatic Effect]
When this Character enters the Area or levels up, look at the top 3 cards of your Deck, rearrange them in any order and return them to the top of the Deck. After that, you may draw 1 card.

[Main Phase Effect]
Cost:
Send 1 card from your Hand to your Waiting Room, and return this card to your Extra Deck in Faced-up position.
Effect:
Pay the [Setting Cost] of 1 <OS: Eiyuu Senki> Set in your Waiting Room, then you may set that Set onto your Partner.
-----

Trivia: Balmung, also known as Gram, is the name of the sword used by Siegfried (Sigurd) to slay the dragon, Fafnir, in Norse Mythology.

This is, in a way, a great way to retrieve your Sets which got sent to your Waiting Room by your Opponent. Of course, this goes great with your Siegfried Partner. However, Opponents may try to send your Sets into your Backyard too, and that'd be a problem.

However, this Extra is not limited to just a Siegfried Partner!
Loli + Ghost + Sailor = Drake

This Drake Partner from Eiyuu Senki Extra Booster, has an effect which returns 1 Set card in your Area back to your Hand, and if you do so, she gains +2 Attack and [Penetrate] until the end of the turn. (Once per Turn)

Siegfried's Extra would work great, helping Drake return Sets from your Waiting Room.

You need not use Siegfried's Partner for this Extra, as Eiyuu Senki Extra Booster offers a Non-Partner Siegfried!
Uh.. a little help with my neck, guys

You get to draw 1 card when she enters your Area (Entry Cost is to flip 1 of your Characters from Faced-up position to Faced-down position). When she attacks, she gains +3 Attack until the end of the turn.

With skills like Penetrate or Swift Strike, she'd make a good offensive Friend.
-----
That's all for today! Bye!

Eiyuu Senki Gold Cards of the Day 19/5/2014

Hot damn! Today we have Marie Antoinette and Caesar!
Let's get started then!
-----
Oooohohoho!

Trait and Name (Japanese): 高貴な高飛車貴族「マリー・アントワネット」
Trait and Name (English): The High-classed and Domineering Aristocrat [Marie Antoinette]
Element: Light
Gender: Female
Stats and Growth: 4 / 4 ( +2 / +2)
Card Number: ES-189RR
Flavor Text (Japanese): ほほほ。私が仲間になって差し上げますわ
Flavor Text (English): Ho ho ho. I humbly offer myself to you as an ally

[Entry Cost]
Send 2 cards from your Hand to your Waiting Room, then draw 3 cards.

[Automatic Effect][Partner Effect]
At the start of your Main Phase, draw 1 card. If this Character's Level is 3 or above, you may choose to retrieve 1 card from your Waiting Room to your Hand instead. This effect still activates when this Character is in Faced-down position.

[Main Phase Effect][Battle Phase Effect][Once per Turn]
Cost:
Send 2 cards from your Hand to your Waiting Room
Effect:
If you activate this effect during your Main Phase, draw 4 cards, and send 1 card from your Hand to your Backyard. If you activate this effect during Battle Phase, select 1 Character, and that Character gains +4 Attack and +4 Defence until the end of the Turn. This effect can be activated when in Battle.
-----

Marie is both supportive and offensive! During the early game, if she is your Partner, she provides an additional draw. Later on, when Marie hits Level 3 and above, should your Opponent play Characters which specifically disable Automatic Effects which involve drawing, you can still retrieve a card from your Waiting Room instead!

To speed up the drawing process, you can also send 2 cards to your Waiting Room to draw 4 cards. You'll have to send 1 card to your Backyard, which results in just an increase of 1 Hand size. You'll need a great deal of Hand size, especially if you're going to play her alternate effect, which adds +4 / +4 to a Character of your choice.

Note that the alternate effect can activate on either Player's turn, so it's great for dealing more Damage or defending from a hard-hitter!

But take note that if you used this effect during your Main Phase (To draw), you cannot use this same effect during the same turn to add +4 / +4 at the Battle Phase!

Marie's a new addition to the Eiyuu Senki crew, so looks like there is no card which caters specifically to her (Yet!). Marie can go with an offensive front with Friends like Hannibal from Eiyuu Senki Extra Booster:
Not pictured here: Her amazing six pack

Which offers a passive Penetrate, as well as the ability to flip 1 of your <OS: Eiyuu Senki> Characters from Faced-down position to Faced-up position when this Character is able to deal Damage to your Opponent during Battle. The +4 / +4 can help against Partners with high Defence during the early game!

Be warned though, the more you draw, the faster your Deck runs out! This is why I suggest using Friends with high Attack (With Penetrate, preferably), because you'll most likely be trying to kill off your Opponent before your Deck runs out.

Of course, you can choose to reduce the speed of your draws by playing this Character as a Friend instead. She has a good Entry Cost if you have a lot of redundant cards in your Hand, and still provides a great optional drawing capability, in addition to stat-boosting ability during Battle Phase.

-----
Next up, Caesar!
-----
It's always those random mist passing by

Trait and Name (Japanese): 大浴場の完成「カエサル」
Trait and Name (English): Completion of the Large Public Bath [Caesar]
Element: Water
Gender: Female
Stats and Growth: 2 / 1 ( +2 / +3 )
Card Number: ES-191R
Flavor Text (Japanese): せっかくの機会なんだし、ナポレオンも開放的になったら?
Flavor Text (English): Is this the long-awaited opportunity, for once when Napoleon is being frank?

[Automatic Effect]
When this Character enters your Area or level up, you may flip 1 of your <OS: Eiyuu Senki> Characters to Faced-up position. After that, all of your <OS: Eiyuu Senki> Characters gain +2 Attack and +2 Defence until the end of the Turn.
-----

Well, this card's effect already existed back in Eiyuu Senki 1.00 Booster Box, as Galahad:
I was an Uncommon card!

Repackaged as a Rare card. Really now? Well, one could argue that Galahad is more likely to be used in in a Knights of the Round Table Deck, but the effect is generic, so she could go great with any Deck.

So, why a Rare card is beyond me, but oh well.. Maybe there's a reason. Who knows? Regardless, it is a great replacement over Decks which use Caesar for her Extra. Currently, there are 2 in existent:
Way to go, Censorship!

This Extra's from the Eiyuu Senki Extra Booster, and it involves Ashoka. You get to heal a Character whenever this Extra enters your Area or level up. This Extra also gains +3 Attack when it's selected as an Attacking Character.

It's an "Okay" card if you can somehow give this Extra skills like Penetrate and/or Swift Strike. The other Caesar Extra involves Nero, and comes from the Eiyuu Senki 1.00 Booster Box:
Notice the "Flip Horizontally" effect?

This Extra heals as well, every time it enters your Area or level up. The second effect, however, allows you to deal 3 Damage (Non-battle Damage) to 1 Character of your choice during Battle Phase (Once per Turn) by sending 1 card from your Hand to your Waiting.
-----

That's all for today! See you again tomorrow!

Eiyuu Senki Gold Cards of the Day 16/5/2014

Today, we have the (Spoiler) final boss of Eiyuu Senki!
She's so powerful, both Cards of the Day feature her!
-----
Hate! Hate! Hate! Did I mention HATE?

Trait and Name (Japanese): 世界の管理者「パンドラ」
Trait and Name (English): The Ruler of the World [Pandora]
Element: Dark
Gender: Female
Stats and Growth: 4 / 4 ( +2 / +2 )
Card Number: ES-200RR
Flavor Text (Japanese): あんたなんか…だいっきらい…!!
Flavor Text (English): I... HATE YOU ...!!

[Entry Cost]
Flip 1 of your <OS: Eiyuu Senki> Characters from Faced-down position to Faced-up position

[Continuous Effect][Partner Effect]
While this Character is set with a Set card, this Character gains +2 Defence, and all Non-battle Damage dealt due to an effect of this Character is treated as Battle Damage.

[Main Phase Effect][Once per Turn]
Cost:
Send 3 cards from your Waiting Room to your Backyard, and reveal the top card of your Deck.
Effect:
If the revealed card from paying the Cost of this effect is a Character card, all of your Characters gain +2 Attack and +2 Defence until the end of the Turn. If it wasn't, deal 2 Damage to all Players' Characters. After that, the revealed card is returned to the top of the Deck.
-----

What a murderer! Indeed, she hates everyone.. even her own people!

While she has a Set card attached to her, the Damage dealt from her Main Phase Effect (Which is non-Battle Damage) is treated as Battle Damage (If the revealed card was not a Character card). This means cards which reduces Non-battle Damage will not be able to reduce this effect's Damage!

Be careful though! All Characters are dealt this effect's Damage, and this includes Pandora herself, as well as all of your own Characters!

Note that this is a Main Phase Effect, so if you want to certain on what type of card you want to reveal, you need to use cards which can rearrange your top few cards of your Deck before activating Pandora's effect.

Here is one possible card (Not a recommendation, it is just a suggestion):
Loli Power! Go Team South America!

Huayna Capac & Montezuma allows you to rearrange the top 3 cards of your Deck, and draw 1 card every time they enter your Area or level up. You can choose to play other cards with such effects or "try your luck"!
-----
Now, we have Pandora's Extra!
-----
HATE! HATE! HATE! *RAGE*

Trait and Name (Japanese): パンドラの箱「パンドラ」
Trait and Name (English): Pandora's Box [Pandora]
Element: Dark
Gender: Female
Stats and Growth: 2 / 2 ( +1 / +1)
Card Number: ES-219U
Flavor Text (Japanese): こんな世界、いらないっ…!
Flavor Text (English): I don't... need this world...!

[Extra]
Pandora

[Entry Cost]
Send 1 Character card from your Hand to your Waiting Room.

[Automatic Effect]
When this Character enters your Area or levels up, look at the top 3 cards of your Deck, rearrange them in any order and return them to the top of the Deck. After that, you may draw 1 card.

[Main Effect]
Cost:
Return this card to your Extra Deck in Faced-up position.
Effect:
Any Damage received by any of your Characters is reduced by 2 until the end of the Main Phase. If this card is your Partner, and you have 3 or more Faced-up position cards in your Extra Deck, this Character is not affected by your Opponent's Event card(s) until the end of the Turn.
-----

Looks like Pandora's Extra can rearrange the cards for Pandora's Main Phase effect! This makes life much easier!

Remember that all of your Characters receive 2 less Damage only until the end of the Main Phase, so your Characters do not get this effect when the Battle Phase starts, but this is already a great effect as you will be safe from Pandora's self-hurting effect!

The condition of having 3 or more Faced-up cards in your Extra Deck also includes this card (When you pay the cost).

It is highly recommended you do NOT level up this Extra! The stats (and growth) are horrible, and you'd want to just Extra over Pandora, then remove this Extra to gain damage-reduction in preparation for Pandora's effect.

Last note: Faced-up cards in the Extra Deck cannot be used as Extras again, so if you think about it, this Extra's effect can only be used up to a maximum of 4 times (If you play 4 Pandora Extras in your Extra Deck). Use them wisely!
-----

That's all for today! See you!

Eiyuu Senki Gold Cards of the Day 15/5/2014

Hi everyone! Today we have the multi-colored Alexander and Aristotle-sensei!
-----
Moooooooooo

Trait and Name (Japanese): 花嫁衣装の「アレキサンダー」
Trait and Name (English): Bridal Costume [Alexander]
Element: Fire
Gender: Female
Stats and Growth: 6 / 6 ( +1 / +1 )
Card Number: ES-182R
Flavor Text (Japanese): 純白の花嫁衣装!つまりウェディングドレスだ!
Flavor Text (English): A pure white bridal costume! In other words, a wedding dress!

[Entry Cost]
Send 2 <OS: Eiyuu Senki> Characters from your Hand to your Waiting Room

[Continuous Effect][Partner Effect]
While you have 2 or more Faced-up position Friends without [Penetrate], this Character gains +2 Attack and [Penetrate].

[Continuous Effect][Partner Effect]
While you have 2 or more Faced-up position Friends with [Penetrate], any Damage received by this Character is reduced by 3.

[Automatic Effect][Once per Turn]
If you draw a card(s) due to a card effect, this Character gains +3 Attack and +3 Defence until the end of the Turn.
-----

Moo is right. I like how adaptive Alexander is. However, her stat growth isn't that great.
You can play her in 2 styles:
Have her as your main Damage-dealer, by having 1 or no Friends with Penetrate, and play Friends which can increase your Partner's stats, like:
We rule South East Asia with our slapstick comedic acts. Napoleon would be so proud!

This Magellan & Cook Extra (From Eiyuu Senki 1.00 Booster Box) gives your <OS: Eiyuu Senki> Partner +2 Attack and +2 Defence, as well as reducing non-Battle Damage on all of your Characters by X. X being the number of  OTHER <OS: Eiyuu Senki> Characters you have on your Area.

Of course, the other style would be playing a deck which relies on Friends with Penetrate. In this case, you'd play Alexander as a Partner who absorbs incoming Damage from your Opponent's Characters. Here is one possible Character you can use (From Eiyuu Senki 1.00 Booster Box):
Admit it. That western backdrop probably meant you were lost again.

You draw 1 card from your Deck when Percival enters your Area (Or level-up, but this is highly unlikely). This goes great with Alexander's Automatic Ability, giving her +3 / +3.

In addition, Percival gives your Partner +3 Defence when your Partner is selected as a Guarding Character! This obviously gives Alexander a thicker hide (Pun!).

OR!

Why not both styles? Yes, notice that both conditions are "2 or more". Since you're allowed up to 4 Friends on your Area, you can have 2 Friends with Penetrate, and another 2 without Penetrate, giving her both effects! That'd totally make her a powerful Partner, but it takes some time to set up the Area.

Last note: Alexander's ability to gain +3 / +3 when you draw a card(s) works on both Players' Turns, and you're not limited to just your card effects! Should your Opponent cause you to draw a card, this effect activates! Or should you use Yoshitsune (From Eiyuu Senki Trial Deck)...
Her chest holds her darkest secret. Quite literally.

Yoshitsune's effect allows you to draw 1 card from your Deck whenever your <OS: Eiyuu Senki> Partner is selected as an Attacking or Guarding Character. Great!
-----
Now let's move onto Aristotle-sensei!
-----
With great IQ, comes low EQ

Trait and Name (Japanese): ジパングの縁日を楽しむ「アリストテレス」
Trait and Name (English): Enjoying the Zipangu Fair [Aristotle]
Element: Fire
Gender: Female
Stats and Growth: 3 / 5 ( +1 / +2 )
Card Number: ES-183C
Flavor Text (Japanese): あれが世に聞く「金魚すくい」ですね。まさか、実物が見れるとは…
Flavor Text (English): I have heard of "Goldfish Scooping". I never expected really see it....

[Entry Cost]
Flip 1 of your <OS: Eiyuu Senki> Characters from Faced-down position to Faced-up position

[Continuous Effect]
Your [Alexander] gains +2 Attack.

[Automatic Effect]
When your [Alexander] Partner is selected as an Attacking or Guarding Character, draw 1 card.
-----

Well! Now we can replace the earlier-mentioned Yoshitsune with Aristotle!
Nothing much I can say about this. This just goes great with an Alexander Partner, and has very little use in other decks.
-----

That's all for today! See you all again tomorrow!
