Eiyuu Senki Gold Cards of the Day 23/5/2014

We're exactly 1 Week away from Eiyuu Senki Gold's release! Today's Cards of the Day feature all 3 members of Australia's crew!
-----
SUCK MY BLOOD! TAKE IT ALLLLLLLLLLLL!!!

Trait and Name (Japanese): ドラキュリア「ヴラド・ツェペシュ」
Trait and Name (English): Dracula [Vlad Tepes]
Element: Dark
Gender: Female
Stats and Growth: 4 / 4 ( +2 / +2 )
Card Number: ES-169R
Flavor Text (Japanese): 汝に最高の興奮と、最高の思い出を与えてやろう…
Flavor Text (English): I will make you feel the most pleasurable, and give you the best memories...

[Entry Cost]
Flip 1 of your <OS: Eiyuu Senki> Characters from Faced-down position to Faced-up position.

[Automatic Effect]
At the start of your Battle Phase, if there is 5 or more cards in your Opponent's Backyard, draw 1 card.

[Main Phase Effect][Partner Effect][Once per Turn]
Cost:
Send 1 card from your Hand to your Waiting Room
Effect:
Send 1 card from your Opponent's Waiting Room to their Backyard. If you have done so, this Character gains +3 Attack and [Penetrate] until the end of the Turn. After that, if your Opponent has 7 or more cards in their Backyard, you may move 1 of your Opponent's Friends to <Rest> position.
-----

Awesome card! An improvement over the original Vlad from Eiyuu Senki 1.00 Booster Box:
Hugs and Kisses - xoxo - *Gets pierced*

Her older counterpart has a costly Entry Cost: Sending 1 of your Faced-up position <OS: Eiyuu Senki> Friends to your Waiting Room.

Her Automatic Effect allows her to gain +5 / +5 at the start of either Player's Battle Phase, should your Opponent has 5 or more cards in their Backyard.

She also comes with a passive Penetrate.

However, playing the older counterpart can be slow as Vlad relies on other Characters (Or your Opponent) to send cards to your Opponent's Backyard. If your Opponent doesn't normally put cards into their Waiting Room (For you to send to their Backyard), this makes it even slower for Vlad to get her much needed +5 / +5 boost to make her a threat to your Opponent.

Her newer counterpart has the ability to send cards from your Opponent's Waiting Room to their Backyard, making her more independent.

Even though the boost is smaller ( +3 / 0 as compared to +5 / +5 ), it is easier and faster to activate. Note that you must send 1 card to your Opponent's Backyard to activate the +3 / 0 boost and Penetrate skill.

After reaching 5 cards in your Opponent's Backyard, she is self-sufficient, as you're able to recover the -1 Hand size from paying her Partner Effect's Cost.

After reaching 7 cards in your Opponent's Backyard, she becomes even more dangerous as she is able to disable one of your Opponent's Friends from defending. (If they do not have the ability to defend while being in Rest position)

1 down, 2 more to go! Now let's look at Joan of Arc
-----
What is this "4G" you speak of? Does it make communication with God more reliable?

Trait and Name (Japanese): 聖少女「ジャンヌ・ダルク」
Trait and Name (English): Holy Maiden [Joan of Arc]
Element: Light
Gender: Female
Stats and Growth: 9 / 3 ( - / +1 )
Card Number: ES-170C
Flavor Text (Japanese): カミサマは言いました…吸血鬼、滅せよ、と
Flavor Text (English): I have spoken with God... I must destroy that Vampire

[Entry Cost]
Flip 1 of your Characters from Faced-up <Stand> position to Faced-down <Reverse> position.

[Trespass Cost]
Send 1 of your Faced-up position Friends to your Waiting Room, and flip your [Vlad Tepes] from Faced-down position to Faced-up position.

[Automatic Effect]
At the start of Battle Phase, if your Opponent's Backyard has 3 or more cards, ignore all of the original Cost and Condition(s) for 1 of your [Vlad Tepes] Partner's [Automatic Effect] when it is being activated.

[Swift Strike]
-----

This is a great card for both the old and new Vlad Tepes!

Recall that the older version of Vlad Tepes is a risky card to play as trying to reach 5 cards in your Opponent's Backyard can be slow. With Joan of Arc, you'd need only 3 cards in your Opponent's Backyard now (For this effect to work).

Since Joan of Arc's effect works on both Players' Battle Phase, rest assured that the +5 / +5 boost will work on your Opponent's Turn as well!

As for the new Vlad Tepes, Joan of Arc's Automatic Effect allows Vlad to start drawing cards when your Opponent's Backyard has 3 cards, instead of 5.

Of course, the only problem is her Entry Cost. If you have a Character who is about to be used for an Extra, make use of that opportunity to send Joan of Arc onto your Area, before turning that Character into an Extra.

In dire situations, you can also Trespass to ensure that Vlad Tepes is healed! Remember that you cannot use Joan of Arc's Trespass Cost if you do not have Vlad Tepes on your Area, or if your Vlad Tepes is already in Faced-up position.

Anyone who wants to use either the new or old versions of Vlad Tepes as their Partner should really consider using Joan of Arc.
-----
Lastly, we have Goemon!
-----
Suck it, Robin Hood

Trait and Name (Japanese): 正義の泥棒「石川五右衛門」
Trait and Name (English): Thief of Justice [Ishikawa Goemon]
Element: Air
Gender: Female
Stats and Growth: 4 / 4 ( +1 / +2 )
Card Number: ES-171U
Flavor Text (Japanese): ジパングも恋しくなってきたところだし、喜んで乗らせてもらうよ
Flavor Text (English): I miss Zipangu so much, I'm glad to follow you

[Entry Cost]
Flip 1 of your <OS: Eiyuu Senki> Characters from Faced-down position to Faced-up position

[Continuous Effect]
When your [Vlad Tepes] is in Battle, nullify all of the skills of your Opponent's Battling Character

[Automatic Effect][Once per Turn]
When your <OS: Eiyuu Senki> Partner is selected as an Attacking Character, you may send 1 card from your Opponent's Waiting Room to their Backyard. After that, if your Opponent's Backyard has 10 or more cards, reduce the Defence of all of your Opponent's Characters by 2.
-----

Crazy card to have, for any deck. Of course, a Vlad Tepes Deck would benefit the most from Goemon. Go Team Australia!

Goemon's Continuous Effect makes your Vlad Tepes an excellent Guarding Character against your Opponent's Characters (Especially those with skills like Penetrate).

Goemon's Automatic Effect helps send cards from your Opponent's Waiting Room to their Backyard, which definitely helps both Joan of Arc and Vlad Tepes satisfy their effect conditions faster in the game!

As Goemon stays in your Area, she turns deadly later on in the game when your Opponent's Backyard has 10 or more cards. The ability to reduce ALL of your Opponent's Defence by 2 cannot be countered by commonly-used "Anti-burn" cards (Those cards which reduces Non-battle Damage). This means your Opponent will have to use "Anti-Defence-Reduction" cards.

If your Opponent is unable to disable Goemon's Automatic Effect and they have 10 or more cards in their Backyard, all of their Characters with 2 or less Defence will immediately get flipped Faced-down when your <OS: Eiyuu Senki> Partner is selected as an Attacking Character.

That's all for today! See ya!
